I regularly post videos but now it seems I can't post longer than 20secs, any idea how to make the video smaller so I can post longer versions.

Use Free Video Converter V2.9. Just drag the file and drop it in, then click convert videos, and once it's done you'll have a much smaller file. You'll be able to post up to 15 min videos if you chose.

I just use Windows Movie maker to edit/shrink the size of my videos.
